Some years ago, we were preparing to take a mission trip with our families.
Ryan’s family was looking to do some fundraising, and I had an idea.
How about his whole family gets involved and creates an awesome product package for us to sell?
They all had talents to lend to the project: research, writing, graphic design, photography…
So we did it. We created a huge package of PLR material, but not just any PLR material…
We chose to make it all EVERGREEN content. In other words, content that will stand the test of time and never grow old.
We achieved that by choosing topics within a niche that Ryan’s wife was pretty familiar with: Home Remedies!
Each PLR product would be related to a certain “problem” and a remedy to cure that problem.
Instead of outsourcing all of those products to ghostwriters or freelancers, Ryan’s family gathered around the kitchen table… and got to work!
When it was all done, it was some the highest quality PLR material that I’ve ever seen.
We bundled some of the Home Remedy products into one package for the “front end” package. Then we bundled all the rest of them into a massive upsell.
The fundraiser was a success. We sold enough to cover their needed expenses for the mission trip.
But here’s the thing, we only kept it on the market for one week, and then pulled it off the market.
We’d forgotten about it until now, as we were brainstorming…
Then we remembered… that content is evergreen! It’s as relevant today as the day it was written.
